We would like to thank you very much for supporting our Guild Events, as your support not only helps our members, but also enables us to help others in our community.
With your help, we have donated over £30,000 to various Essex charities and groups.
The Guild started this work in 2000, and we wish to continue to be able to donate surplus funds raised at Guild events to help support others in Essex.
In 2003 we chose the Essex Air Ambulance as our main Charity, because it is one that helps anyone in Essex. To date our donations total over £25,000. In addition to this we have helped them raise other money by inviting them to sell their merchandise at our main show of the year at Cressing Temple, and other shows around the county.

Those in the photo are, from left to right :- Piper Michael Heaslip, Pilot Dave Surtees and Doctor Adam Chesters. Holding the Cheque are Celia Reed (Former Guild Chairman), Teresa James (Air Ambulance), Phil Caborn (Air Ambulance Trustee) and Piper Craig Davison. Also in attendance was Para-Medic Steve Dennahy (Taking photo so not shown).
Other charities we have helped include the Braintree Multiple Sclerosis group, the CHARMS charity, (which helps and supports all M.S. sufferers in Essex), The Little Havens Children’s Hospice in Southend, the Farleigh Hospice in Chelmsford, Bosom Pals in Southend, along with other groups supporting cancer sufferers, the Essex Wildlife Trust and the R.N.L.I.
We also support and encourage the younger element in our society, and have made donations to Essex Scout and Brownie groups and Army Cadets. We have also invited them to attend some of our events to help promote their work amongst the community. Our members also help local Schools by donating various craft materials.
Our donations to other groups and Charities currently total over £6,000
Thank you once again for your valuable support.
